New Westin Brisbane hotel slated for 2018

Starwood’s Westin brand will mark its Brisbane debut in 2018 with the opening of the all-new Westin Brisbane hotel.

Situated on Mary Street in the city’s CBD and directly adjacent from the group’s existing Four Points by Sheraton property, the hotel will be ideally located for business travellers in both the corporate and finance sectors, being just several blocks from the Queen Street Mall and the Riverside Centre.

High-end leisure guests will also feel at home being within walking distance of various fine dining restaurants at Brisbane’s renowned Eagle Street Pier, while the development will also house a number of retail outlets and restaurants of its own.

Offering 286 guestrooms, the Westin Brisbane will also house extensive leisure facilities to make the most of your downtime including a resort-style swimming pool with a swim up bar, a ‘Heavenly Spa’ day spa and full gym facilities.

Travellers focused on productivity will also have a 24-hour business centre at their disposal, along with 667 square metres of function and meeting space available for hire.

Queensland will also gain a new W Brisbane hotel in early 2018 – another of Starwood’s luxury hotel chains – on Brisbane’s iconic George Street:

Assuming the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty program is retained following Starwood’s takeover deal with Marriott, members could both earn and redeem Starpoints at both hotels, along with Brisbane’s existing Four Points by Sheraton.
