Enjoy 20% more Velocity Points in latest transfer promo
Convert your credit card rewards into Velocity Points for this balance-boosting bonus.
Have you been stockpiling reward points on your credit card in anticipation of the next Velocity Points transfer promotion?
If so, the moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived, with transfers to your Velocity account now collecting an extra 20% in bonus Velocity Points.
And there are two ways to rake in that 20% bounty: by setting up a monthly automatic transfer, or making three consecutive monthly transfers.
The automatic transfer option covers five partners
- ANZ Rewards
- ANZ Business Rewards
- Bank of Melbourne
- BankSA
- NAB
- St George
Turn on ‘Auto Transfer’ at any time between 1 November 2023 and 31 January 2024 to have the reward points in those programs automatically sent to your Velocity Frequent Flyer account each month, and you’ll enjoy a 20% Velocity Points bonus on all converted points during that period.
The manual transfer option embraces a solid set of 15 card reward programs, including the big four banks – ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, NAB and Westpac – along with American Express, St George, Bank of Melbourne, BoQ, BankSA, Suncorp and more.
Velocity members can rake in 20% bonus Velocity Points when they manually transfer points from these partners at least once each calendar month, for three consecutive months between 1 November 2023 and 31 January 2024.
Regardless of which option to choose, expect to see those 20% bonus Velocity Points lob into your Velocity account by 29 February 2024.
That’ll set you up to be winging your way onto that next points-based award flight on either Virgin Australia or partners such as Air Canada, Etihad Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways and United Airlines.
Exclusions, minimum transfer rates, and other terms and conditions also apply, as detailed on the promotion page.

Why would you bother. I cannot find a single business class seat from BNE to LAX (on UA) right up until the end of next February. This promotion is clearly only aimed at getting cash from the banks to boost the bottom line of VA
For the avoidance of confusion, I am a very long time VA Platinum member.

I've never been able to find any UA J redemption at all. Not sure if they ever release it.

There are heaps of availability, I don't pay more than a cent per point, transfer points to Kris Flyer and go via Singapore. Most people on this site like flying so the longer the flight the better specially if your in business or first and as discussed with colleagues this morning, my wife believes first is a waste of money and points, business is a better value option.

I’ve got 300k anz rewards points I was going to transfer out and close the card in next few weeks. Anyone knows what happens if I setup auto transfer, wait for the points to come out and then close the card before the bonus 20% lands? Does the 20% come from the bank or velocity. Sounds like the bonus doesn’t hit instantly with transfer.

Looks like the FAQ answered my questions. Looks like I could do manual transfer from anz this month, then transfer a nominal amount from Citibank in December and January to get the 20%
