Korean Air makes a welcome return to Brisbane
Following a lengthy hiatus, the rebounded link to Seoul is sure to be a big hit.

Queenslanders with their hearts (and stomachs) set on a trip to South Korea once again have the convenience of a non-stop connection from the state as SkyTeam member Korean Air restarts flights between Brisbane and Seoul from today.
Jetting off five times-weekly on a Boeing 777, the renewed Brisbane link – the only one from the city – is sure to be a big hit with locals and visitors, providing a viable alternative to transitting via Sydney on rivals Qantas, Jetstar, Asiana and T’Way Air.
While not the newest seat in the sky, those seated in Prestige Class are still in for a comfortable trip, with a lie-flat seat and 15.4” touchscreen monitor loaded with international content to help while away the near 10 hour flight.
As with Emirates’ Boeing 777 business class, seating in Prestige is a less than ideal 2-3-2 configuration, meaning no direct aisle access for every passenger.
On arrival into Seoul, travellers will be spoiled for choice on things to see and do, whether stepping back in time at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, shopping up a storm in ultra-modern Dongdaemun, or eating their fill at the likes of Gwangjang Market.
Ryan Both, Executive General Manager of Aviation at Brisbane Airport Corporation, hails the return as “great news for Queensland”, while noting this year marks the 30th anniversary since Korean Air began services into the city.
The rebounded link complements Korean Air’s existing daily Sydney-Seoul flights and was made possible by Queensland's ‘Attracting Aviation Investment Fund’, which has helped facilitate 15 new or restarted overseas flights in the last 12 months.

Travelled with them at least 3 return flights to Europe .Last one being in 2015.Like the fact it departs Brisbane at a good time arriving in Incheon with an STPC before onward departure to Europe. Recently had a return trip Brisbane to Venice last October with Emirates. Excellent flights .Planning return trip 2024 & comparing Korean air i found Korean air prices risen alot .Probably choose Emirates as the food options have never changed in about 23 years .
