Travellers to the Victorian capital with plans to shop have a new destination in the city’s south-east, with the Parkroyal Monash Melbourne hotel now open for business.

Offering 250 guestrooms and suites, the property sits as part of the M-City complex in the Melbourne suburb of Clayton, being home to 60+ retail and dining outlets.

As its name suggests, the Monash University campus is also just five minutes on foot, while Chadstone Shopping Centre – claiming Australia’s largest collection of luxury and fashion brands under the one roof – can be reached in under 15 minutes by car.

Guests at Parkroyal Melbourne Monash can select from a variety of room types, from a lead-in Superior Room through to Deluxe and Deluxe Corner rooms, pictured below.

For those requiring more space, Junior Suites pair a traditional hotel bedroom with a separate living and dining area, and a dual-sink bathroom with distinct bath and shower:

Deluxe Suites go one further, found in corner locations to maximise floor space, albeit with a more open design better-suited to families rather than business meetings.

Hotel guests can make use of an on-site swimming pool, and receive complimentary 24-hour access to Snap Fitness within the M-City complex throughout their visit.

As part of the Discovery loyalty program of Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), all members start at the Gold tier, which unlocks complimentary bottled water, Internet access, and choice of newspaper with every stay.

Guests who reach Platinum status enjoy added perks such as single-category room upgrades and late check-out until 3pm (both subject to availability), while those at the Black tier see late check-outs pushed to 6pm and upgrades extended to two categories above the room booked.

Black-level members can also check-in from 9am at no extra charge where availability permits, among other benefits.
