Qatar Airways ups Madrid flights

Qatar Airways is increasing its flights from Doha to Madrid from later this year.

Bumping up to a daily run from November 15 2014, QR149/150 is the perfect connecting flight for passengers heading to and from Melbourne and Perth – Qatar’s two Aussie destinations.

After a stopover of 1.5-2 hours in Doha, passengers from these cities can jump on board QR149 for Madrid. Wheels-up at 7:40am, it reaches Madrid at 1:30pm that afternoon.

On the way home, QR150 takes to the Madrilene skies at 3:05pm and arriving into Doha at 11:35pm that evening, again with amble time to transit to both Melbourne and Perth.

Victorian residents have a mere 1hr 20m between flights, while those from the mining capital have a longer break of 2hrs 25m – perfect to freshen up or for a quick squash game at the new Hamad International Airport.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn points and status credits on Qatar Airways flights from Melbourne and Perth to Doha and beyond through the airlines’ mutual partnership in the global Oneworld airline alliance.
