QT Hotels & Resorts to open in Canberra

Canberra will see a stylish new addition to the hotel scene with next month's opening of the QT Canberra.

Set to open in early April at Net Acton's iconic Lakeside Hotel complex, QT Canberra features 200 guest suites by renowned designer Nic Graham.

Graham plays up the history of the space, given that it’s housed Prime Ministers during speeches and back-room meetings in the years gone by. A mix of quirky artefacts, bespoke furniture and a daring use of colour and art pays homage to this.

Offering a number of exclusive retreats with secret rooms, private hideaways and secluded spaces, the hotel should provide the ideal environment for taking the edge off a long day or facilitating private meetings.

For those long business lunches or relaxing dinners, a concept restaurant will offer a choice of fine wine and a menu of bistro classics with an Italian twist, under the initiative of QT Hotels’ Creative Food Director, Robert Marchetti.

After something casual? The bars will be fully stocked, alongside a rather extensive snack menu.

The Lakeside ... so dreadfully tacky but it has atmosphere and great views
