Auckland's Rendezvous Hotel is the latest hotel to launch a frequent guest recognition programme. The You First offers a variety of booking and service benefits.
The move is another example of a hotel focussing more on giving business travellers and frequent guests an upgraded experience in the hotel rather than playing the loyalty programme points game.
The You First programme, which is free to join, offers:
- dedicated booking channels and Corporate Services Manager
- special room rates and discounts
- express check-in and check-out
- preferential room allocation
- frequent stay recognition gifts
- restaurant and bar benefits, including a 10% discount and extended happy hour
- room service specials
- business card luggage tags
- a 15% discount on hotel parking
- preferential rate airport transfers
"A lot of people travel regularly to Auckland for business and we want to ensure that we look after those who return time and time again. We do everything that we possibly can to make their stay with us a hassle-free and enjoyable experience," explained Paul Gallop, the hotel's general manager.

The Rendezvous Hotel Auckland is New Zealand's largest hotel, with 452 rooms and a range of conference and meeting facilities.
Situated on the corner of Vincent Street and Mayoral Drive, the Rendezvous is handy for much of Auckland's CBD. For business trips with a focus on the Viaduct harbourside area, though, a hotel closer to the water may be more convenient.
Rendezvous also operates hotels in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Port Douglas, Christchurch, Singapore, and Shanghai under the Rendezvous and The Marque brands, but the You First programme has not been rolled out to other hotels yet.
