I sat backwards in a Qatar Q-Suite A350 recently. Despite my initial trepidation, it was perfectly fine.  As for non-reclining seats, well, I'll hold judgement until I try it.

I'm flying with Oman Air to London later this month  I flew with them last year as well.They're a fantastic airline and their Apex business class seats are best in the business.  Service levels are great, planes are new. Muscat airport is spotless and not crowded. What's not to love?

At least Qantas will insist on retaining the most important part of the flight, being welcomed to our own country!

Which is why when in Europe, I always fly economy rather than business, as its a complete waste of money. How European airlines have gotten away with this for so long is astounding.
