I had a similar experience, our company has 2 and 1/2 years work ahead of us. A new customer wanted a meeting at the last moment and I paid $809.00 for a VA ticket. Lounge was packed no spare seats so I walked out, the guys at work said to me why bother just fly Qantas.

I can't work out how any company could be so hopeless like what VA is doing, going down the drain big time.

I agree if they are serious the price point needs to be $8k return to Europe in business.

Price Points are going to need to be sharp or I'm on Turkish or Sinngapore Business class, andddd they better have newer jets rather than hand me downs..... 

One thing I find is people in business on a VA flight are more approachable and friendly compared to QF business. In QF business people seem to cocoon themselves.
