I am an Australian citizen flying to New York City via Vancouver with Air Can...
Sep 12, 2015, 03:28 PMWhen departing Vancouver for the USA you will go through US Customs immediately after going through security. So you will have entered the the United States before jumping on the plane. Quite convenient actually as when you arrive in the US you simply walk off and collect your baggage.
