• As much as I enjoy the benefits of flying in the Next Generation of jets (350 & 787) there is still something special about boarding the 747 and even more so taking the steps upstairs. Truly the Queen of the Skies, and sad to see they more than likely won't get a good send off.

  • Basically every city that has Michelin ratings will have thrown some money at Michelin to get them to add them to their review list. Consider it a marketing investment. ;)

  • The House is a better lounge, but there are space issues. Last time I was there for a VA flight it was standing room only, I saw the comment on expanding the space, but at the moment if you are on a flight that's sharing a time slot with other carriers it isn't a good move. $ talks though obviously.

  • Thanks for the reply, decided on going with Singapore. Theoretically I will earn just enough on this trip for Gold, and they ticked a couple of other boxes that helped. I was able to switch my not often used Velocity points across, and you can buy Kris Points if needed, so hopefully it pans out.
