Seems like a nobrainer for pacific aviation. The biggest barrier is to entry is government sponsorship. I can see a hub country looking for an edge soon, especially as smaller, direct, long-range flights put them under real pressure.

Great idea. However, carousel baggage pickup still seems too trust based. Maybe someone can develop a more secure system.

I run with an iPad Pro for most of my day to day work. I have a work laptop but only use it for PowerPoint when required. I got tired of slugging a laptop around while travelling and walking between clients in Sydney’s CBD.

Im regularly through San Fran on my way to DC. Qantas seems to do a range of codeshares with Alaska.When I’m on an Alaska codeshare (with QF number) the American Airlines Lounge declines entry even though I’m OW emerald. Is there a rule around this?

I would say there are a lot of people who are very precious about defending Qantas. Perhaps not quite so bad as the AFF site. There’s a bit too much of a sports team view of particular airlines. I like parts of both:Qantas has better lounges. VA generally has nicer business seats and meals....
