Are you sure this is correct? Other blogs are reporting that the rule means that the advertised (headline) fare must include carry on baggage; the airline can still offer cheaper fares without baggage.

The only way to recoup the cost of this card is from the 10% discount. And if you're buying one or two longhaul flights a year in business or First class, you probably could make it work (and even come out ahead).

BA have some 767s they use for European flights, J is in 2-2-2 configuration and if you make the mistake of booking a seat in the left or right column you don't even get a gap between you and your neighbour.

You used to get more SCs switching flight numbers as well, not sure if that still works post-simpler and fairer.
