  • The difference is those airlines have their own AOC and flight code. HA will eventually not have those. 

  • I know it's technicality but I don't see how Hawaiian can join as a member without its own AOC. It's like having American Eagle (an AA affiliate) as a standalone member. 

  • It was mentioned by one of AS's executives in an interview. I wish I had kept the link. They are moving to a single AOC. The Hawaiian brand will be kept but all flights will have an AS native flight number, as in ASxxxx operated by Hawaiian Airlines.
