The problem there would be they need more QR flight crew and cabin crew for the BNE-AKL-BNE rotation. VA crew wont be any good as they aren't type rated, different airline, procedures, protocols etc etc and not sure QR is all that concerned about investing a largish crew component to be semi-perm...

If I stick to just VA for my travel, I easily rack up between 3.4 an 4k points a year. As there is still no lifetime status or anything more than Platinum (the extra card makes no sense to my circumstances) I will then continue to use QF for the rest of the year and keep on adding up to my lifeti...

Took the words out of my mouth! Some bright spark heard space and assumed legroom. I want legroom plus width plus recline. The rest is nice to have but not essential. Otherwise, I might as well keep on traveling in bulkhead and emergency exit seats that have a ton of legroom.

Semi self served @desafinado74. You line up and the chef adds the hot items to your plate you ask for (and yes, you can ask them to be more generous. Juice was not in the typical self serve format but in individual bottles. Quite nice actually. Omelettes and coffee are ordered from the wait staff...

Hi PierrewuI'm Diamond and stayed at the Syd Hilton in March and April of this year and both times was granted full buffet breakfast at Glass due to Status. No issues at all.
