It certainly is. The last time I flew out of Rome most people were crammed into the Casa Alitalia or one of the commercial lounge operators. The Alitalia lounge is perfectly fine, but unremarkable, but it just can't handle the number of passengers. It's been like that since the fire closed the EK...

You defeat your own argument - if people are only using the lounge when they're flying Qantas, what harm is there in asking members to show their tickets?

I concur that it's a good flight time. A few other tips that may be useful:use the chauffeur service both ends;make the most of the F lounge in Dubai - massage, shoe shine, dining etc. It's a nice place to while away a couple of hours if you've got them spare, or do some work.one of the best aspe...

I'm on the same flight in about a month. I understand that the Qantas Club opens one hour prior to the first departure for that day (not sure if this applies to EK codeshare though) and Qantas First opens at 04:30. Hi all, I'm flying Emirates first out of Melbourne departing 05:00. Will any Qantas or Emirates lounges be open prior to departure? Any advice would be much appreciated.
