As someone who splits up my travel between QF and JQ, it’s disappointing to see the JQ being removed for any status level or lounge passes. 

doesn't seem very "strict" to me! seems a lot easier to pass through the automated gates and better visa duration limits :) 

This does seem a more logic step to take for lounge users. No more having to clear security from the lounge. So you can spend a bit more in the lounge once you clear security first. But should be a focus on a premium lane for gold / business class pax. Do we know if they are retaining the premium...
