I love this Cathay launches Manchester, Zurich and Dusseldorf ( which is more relevant for Australia considering it is a logical route , unlike using Doha for N.A) and ausbt says nothing... even though CX also now provides the fastest way to MAN...

Well QF could have a good partner BUT they hate on CX so much that CX resorted to NZ... in fact had LH not prevented NZ from expanding its relationship with CX the SQ-NZ relationship would not have happened.

no LAX transfers are far easier with OW and will be made further easier with the TBIT connector to AA T4... service obviously Air NZ is superior but hard product? no...

Just curious What justifies an article? Why for example you have not covered CX expansion to Zurich/Manchester ( fastest route for Aussie) Düsseldorf and Boston? ( for Perth) you cover EU connections on QR/EK etc...

CX /SQ lower cost base is more about their effective management. they face higher taxes and charges at HKG especially and their employers are not silly- they have unions and continually fight to be on par/above the rest of the world. QF should stop making excuses. Delta/BA etc operate just fine...
