• Review:

This is an accurate and great review but there are a couple of points that might be worth updating given it’s been a few years since the review: 1) the lounge is substantially inferior to the Concourse A lounge (to the point where most regular travelers just go there and then relocate to Co...

  • Having visited this lounge recently, I reckon it is way better than the Qantas First lounge. You're able to find a seat, it feels somewhat exclusive and the food and beverage offering is substantially better than QF - obviously more limited in range but far better in quality.

  • I've been lifetime gold for years and was previously careful to maintain P1 status with Qantas, but have quite deliberately let it drop to P in the last year as I now travel internationally almost exclusively with Singapore (way better hard and soft product, more modern fleet, better on time perf...

  • It's really quite disappointing that these upgrades have been allowed to proceed in a provincial airport when the Sydney Business Lounge is a relic of the early 1990s. It is overcrowded and shabby despite being in the most important domestic airport in the whole of the Qantas network.

  • This is such a welcome development.  As a neglected Qantas LTG and P/P1 member (for whom 75,000 status credits is a far reach) this new offering is right in the sweet spot. There is basically no difference between Qantas Gold and Platinum (especially if you are Sydney based, with the overcrow...

  • Qantas Lounge Updates

    Jan 24, 2025, 01:02 PM

Any updates on the renovation of the Sydney Domestic Business Lounge which was announced pre-Covid? They have commandeered part of Qantas Club, added some carpet and a toasted sandwich bar but what about the promised refurb? The neglect of this lounge is quite criminal given its importance in the...

  • Qantas Points Devaluation

    Jan 22, 2025, 12:36 PM

Has anyone received the communication today about the QFF program changes. Like all devaluation exercises it has been dressed up as a story about new benefits that are good for members, but the key point appears to be that rates for Classic Rewards redemptions (ie the only redemptions that don't ...

  • 717 retirement

    Nov 12, 2024, 01:58 PM

It is very disappointing and yet another example of Qantas' actions not matching its rhetoric. A big announcement was made that A220s would replace 717s on busy busy pairings like Sydney-Canberra but the reality is that the service on those routes has been downgraded to almost exclusively Dash-8s...

  • Is Classic Rewards over?

    Oct 10, 2024, 03:01 PM

It is totally over. The "Classic Plus" PR blitz was one of the most skilfully executed exercises in point devaluation that an airline has ever perpetrated. The breadcrumbs were there in Qantas' financial accounts prior to the move. The notes on the frequent flyer program suggested unease about th...
