Yuh...I gave my VA Companion Gold to my father based on the theory that I could switch him from QF and my wife mostly only travels with me anyway. Companion Gold quickly turned to Companion Platinum. Wifes not happy!

totally agree but event with the inconsistency as Velocity Gold on Virgin Atlantic, and no recognition on Virgin America, its still better than flying AA!
