If you previous linked you ALL account with Qantas (or another airline) in the last year, you are not eligible for this offer. They make you wait until a full year has passed and then you can unlink from current airline and then link to Qatar.
When are the best and worst times to call Qantas and Virgin Australia?

Put this to the test today and called Qantas at 7am...1 hour and 30 min wait time to make a change that took 2 mins. Unfortunately could not manage online as booking keeps saying Access Denied which they can't seem to sort.

Hi Chris, This has actually become my preferred way to travel now last few years to DC and New York from Sydney as time wise it is about same as flying Cathay Pacific via HKG. The extra comforts of the bar/lounge in flight make it a decent way to go.

Qantas is also allowing Gold Frequent Flyers the same benefit. I was just able to do the same on flights that I booked today through the web.

Wait times on Qantas Frequent Flyer 131313 > 2hours for last 4 weeks.

This issue has been going on much longer than 4 weeks. I have given up on Qantas as I have experienced long hold times various times for over a year now. This was even a challenge pre-covid with them unless you had high status.
Do you have any photos aboard Virgin Australia's A320?

Virgin Australia does have an A320 in their fleet as a result of their acquisition of Skywest Airlines. I have not seen interior images for it yet. There is only the seat map on Virgin Australia's website http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/on-board-the-flight/seat-ma...

Etihad/Virgin new international SYD lounge: any updates?

Last information I heard from Virgin approximately a month ago was that Etihad is maintaining that the Etihad Sydney International Lounge will open Q4 of this year.
What is the status of Virgin's wifi inflight entertainment rollout?

I believe at the moment it is still only live on one aircraft, but they are in process of fitting out the 737 and Embraer fleet with the equipment. Last I heard there were at least a dozen aircraft equipped to deliver IFE.
