I'm not sure why you would say that. There's only 30cm difference between the internal width of an a350 and a 777x and both well over 5.5m across. I'll be disappointed if we don't get a MEL-HND flight out of this. NRT is fine for trips to Tokyo but for connections elsewhere in Japan it is terrible.
