travelled back thru Syd from USA late last month (Oct) it was a disaster huge queues for ticket machines, daft staff, took well over 30minutes to pass thru, very ordinary for the major entry into Australia, compared to the rubbish at LAX.

Surely this is more about Qantas strange decision to try and convince people that a 19 hour flight to Dallas is a good idea instead of SFO. This decision will bite qantas sooner rather than later, look to Delta/Virgin to take advantage I for one will fly into SFO any day over LAX with them.
