Do we lose the OW Emerald status by taking the Star Gold?  What I am asking, do we have to swap status from one program to another, or do we get both?

It looks like it has already started, I flew CX Economy BNE to HKG and only earned 15 status points.

Does anyone have any updates for options for calls when global roaming out of Australia?  Data does not interest me as I can download on WiFi in hotels or offices. I tried the WorldSIM product, but after 6 months of terrible customer service I am giving up.  Any other suggestions?
