  • I'm in the AMEX lounge right now. There is only my family in here. There is no music and quite comfortable. Food is decent and the coffee acceptable.Overall, as a perk of the AMEX card, it's pretty good value. And you don't have to sit out...there.

  • I'm assuming that you would need to collect baggage and pass through customs on the return leg if going via Perth to the East Coast.  To me, that's a negative and would be the reason I wouldn't want to do it.
