W Bellevue hotel to open in Greater Seattle, Washington in 2017

Travellers to Washington state USA will find a new Bellevue hotel waiting for them by May 2017.

Part of the Starwood family, the property will sit near the shores of Lake Washington and just across from Seattle proper, which is already home to the W Seattle hotel.

With 219 standard guestrooms, 25 suites and an ‘Extreme Wow Suite’ – the W brand’s take on the traditional Presidential Suite – the hotel will adopt a contemporary feel with over 1,000 square metres of dedicated meeting and event space for business travellers attending conferences.

You’ll also find an on-site gym, a library stocked with pulp fiction novels, an all-day dining restaurant and two destination-themed bars, which we imagine will feature, at minimum, a Seattle Seahawks flag when the team next makes it to the Super Bowl final.

There’s also an oversized fireplace, and an outdoor terrace with porch swings and a pool table for travellers looking to unwind.

Guests venturing beyond the hotel’s doors will have direct access to the slated Bellevue Square expansion via a pedestrian sky bridge, with the surrounds of Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place to house almost 140,000 square metres of new office space and in excess of 16,000 square metres of retail, dining and entertainment space.

Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty program will be able to earn and redeem Starpoints at the hotel, while Gold and Platinum Preferred members enjoy their usual privileges including space-available room upgrades and free in-room Internet access.
