PREVIOUS | This week sees the debut of Fiji Airways' twice-weekly direct flights between Sydney and Suva, the capital city of the island nation – and one reader of Australian Business Traveller will be jetting to Suva with a friend on the special inaugural flight on Friday May 2nd for a long weekend in Fiji.

Thanks to Fiji Airways, we have two business class tickets for the very first Fiji Airways flight from Sydney to Suva (FJ940), which departs Sydney at 2.20pm on Friday May 2nd to reach Suva at 8.30pm.

It's only a four hour flight but you'll enjoy friendly service and delightful inflight meal service on Fiji Airways' Boeing 737-800 before beginning your long weekend in Suva.

This trip includes three nights' accommodation at the Holiday Inn Suva, giving you plenty of time to scope out the nation’s capital including the botanical Thurston Gardens and the Colo-i-Suva rainforest park, or head out to discover the east coast of Viti Levu, Pacific Harbour and surrounding islands such as Beqa.

On the morning of Monday May 5th you'll bid farewell to Suva and return to Sydney on flight FJ941, reaching Sydney at 1.20pm.
