Cathay Pacific: new first & business lounge opens in Paris

Cathay Pacific's new lounge at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport is now open.

Located on Level 2 of the new connecting building between Terminals 2A and 2C, the 120-seat facility is three times the size of Cathay's current CDG lounge at Terminal 2A, and opens four hours before flight departures.

Like Hong Kong's The Cabin, on which the design of the new lounge is based, the lounge is shared between first class and business class travellers on Cathay Pacific and oneworld partner airlines including Qantas and British Airways.

It’s also open to members of oneworld with Sapphire-class status or higher: that includes Silver and above for Cathay’s Marco Polo Club, and Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold or Platinum.

Regular visitors to Cathay's The Wing and The Cabin at Hong Kong International Airport will feel immediately at home in the new CDG lounge.

Familiar touches include the glass-backed reception area, the decor of white marble, black granite, wood and bamboo, plus a handful of Cathay's now-signature Solus workstation chairs – thoughtfully located opposite tall windows which overlook the airport’s ramp and runway area.

The lounge also sports its own Noodle Bar serving freshly prepared noodles, plus a buffet of hot and cold European and Asian dishes.

Four shower suites allow passengers to freshen up before their long-haul flight, with six PC workstation and free wifi floating throughout the lounge.

Cathay Pacific is also introducing a second daily flight between Hong Kong and Paris (CX279/CX278) and upgrading the current CX261/260 flights with the latest business class, premium economy and new international economy seats.

That's a great news! In fact the current CX lounge is a very small and when it's full working or relaxing is very difficult. So oneworld FF will be able to take advantage of  two good lounges (the other one is AA Admirals Club).
