Your only solution is to take the shortest or cheapest flight(s) with VA or VA codeshare that you can find till you reach the 8 eligible sectors.
From the VA website ' An Eligible Sector is
any flight that begins with a VA flight number excluding Reward Seats,
Economy Lite fares and Choice fares booked in P,Q,T,I,S for the portion
of the flight that is operated internally within Canada'

I've enough points to qualify for platinum, but don't have enough eligible flights as most of my points came from SIA and United.
Other than the obvious of taking extra flights, is there any other ways of qualifying?
Thanks.

The status run is a well worn tradition. How many sectors do you need, and will the cash outlay for those be sufficienty rewarded by platinum status?

Thanks. I need 6, so I don't think it's worth it.
