Can I fly domestic VA and credit the points to SQ but the status to VA. SQ don't let you earn elite miles on VA flights but you can earn points.

The mechanism to achieve status is through points. Therefor it is impossible to divorce the two. It is also not possible to achieve status and points accrual with two different programmes as that would entail double dipping.
