I couldn't find anything on the Emirates website and with the latest political instability in the region I thought it a genuine concern, however I appreciate you taking the time to type your helpful reply

Not sure abt emirates but qantas released a statement saying they will now avoid Iraqi airspace, a flight to Dubai will now be 10 mins longer.

Emirates just had multiple flights that pass over Iraq.
