Will a stretched A380 be able to service ultra long haul? I understand Airbus have have them on the drawing board just waiting for orders. The dumpy dugong is begging to be lengthened, as was the B 737-100.

Another 'out there' idea, why not have exercise bikes linked to generators powering the a/c.... Seriously, don't regs require all pax to have seat belts loosely fitted at all times? Difficult to achieve when 'exercising' in the hold.

Qantas has some stiff competition esp the middle eastern carriers so I can understand Joyce's looking outside the box to remain in the game. I'd love to fly the roo, but as a BNE local for me, the Perth option is a non starter. EK via DXB until tempted elsewhere.

Sad if the BP-VA partnership ends. Although expensive, I believe BP is quality fuel and the velocity points were a bonus. I'll shop around in future.

I couldn't find anything on the Emirates website and with the latest political instability in the region I thought it a genuine concern, however I appreciate you taking the time to type your helpful reply
