Need to earn 30 status points on VA before March. I live in Brisbane - any ideas on what the cheapest way for me to do this is?

A Saver return to Melb will net you 30 SC and will cost approx $358 without the booking fee. They do have sales to Melb on at the moment at $115 each way but the travel period isn't before March.

That is about all I can think of that would be cheapest this close to the review.

How about a CNS return? Each leg in Discount Economy is 15SC.

Good idea. I had a quick look and it seems you can do BNE-CNS in Feb as cheap as $125 each way. That's 30 SCs for $250. 

Looks like you can also get OOL-MEL for the same price if you'd prefer a Melbourne trip and don't mind a bit of a drive.

I doubt you'll do much better than that, but wait 'til 4pm today for the Happy Hour specials and see if you can snap up a bargain, you never know your luck. 

Do you need the 30 points before the 1st of March? As the date would impact your options massively

Ok, Cairns return would probably be the cheapest option then at $280 return to brisbane

What's the 30 points for? if it's retaining status, they have a grace window of 30 points. Would be worth contacting them.

The Cairns lounge is very nice too - great view of the runway.

Happy hour has BNE-MEL $135 each way from 27 Feb. Might be able to squeeze one in if you cant get BNE-CNS cheaper. Goodluck.
