I am booking a multi city trip to Europe via BKK on QF codeshare but operated by EK. One part of my booking is on an EK flight number but purchasing the ticket via QF. Will that one sector count as a QF flight even though it's EK number and purchased through QF?
Only if it QF coded will it earn status credits. Qantas does codeshare on a lot of EK flights but there the odd ones sold as EK only. Do check your E-ticket though just to confirm it's coded EK not QF. Basically if it's not coded QF, it's either miserable SCs or none at all.
It will only count as aQF flight if it is sold to you with a QF flight number. QF only codeshare on EK services on certain EK routes. Dubai-Venice is not one of them, IIRC.
