Is it just me or has it become much more difficult to book a standard Business reward seat on the flights to LAX with Virgin via velocity rewards? If you hunt, you can seem to find them to LAX but trying to get a return journey seems very tough. Is it just me or are others finding the same issue. I seem to have more luck when I do it SYD or BNE to LAX but when I do it from MEL, it does'nt like it. The LAX to SYD or BNE is almost impossible. Any feedback from anyone else is welcomed. Tks.

Paul - I am facing the same issue with Velocity at the moment, I sent a request enquirying about this but was referred to the the Velocity service desk and they would assist with searching for me... that was not the question I asked. I asked if they had reduced the about of seats on offer!
I have decided to book them as soon as I can and book 2 one way legs

You have to be extra persistent and super flexible to utilize those points.

They have a sale on right now together with the bonus for swapping points. They have likely pretty much exhaisted the avaialble seats.
it seems easier to book economy and exclude the Melbourne route. I love flying Virgin, have great status and plenty of points but it is frustrating that in the 10 years flying with them, I have not had a problem up until now booking a Business class standard reward seat. I acually use the points for work so its harder to be flexible with my dates. I personally feel they have decreased the number of seats available as you mention Warren.
