I fly to JFK regular,the amount of flights is so so poor and the only business flights they have are through Hawian .

Great but you only get buiss to Hawaii then economy to lax and economy to jfk.

That is the only route they have.

If you fly to Hong Kong also the rewards you need is the same price as a normal business .

Cannot comment AA, but I have not seen QF redemption seats to LHR by QF (not EK or BA) for many years. You simply cannot relay on redemption tickets if you need to fly on time like for business - you must be superflexible (including time, route and carrier) if you like use those points.

Agreed. If you can find award seat, then yes, it's a great discount. The only problem is if your destination is USA, with AA you are heavily dependent on QF to release award seats. The problem with AA is that they have award inventory at 330 days out, compare to QFF, Asia Miles and BA who have access to it at 360 days out. 

QF is already stingy at releasing award seats (they never release it on weekends and school holidays) and with about 10 million QFF members competing for those seats, by the time AA has access, those precious seats are all gone. To snatch those seats, you depend on others who decided to cancel their seats and it happens to be on the day you need and you happen to check online (or subscribe to some award seat alert service), otherwise the chances are virtually zero. 

Unfortunately AUS-USA is well known in FF community as the hardest to redeem. The easiest one to redeem is VA who consistently release 2 J seats per flight. But that's to LAX only. To JFK, Etihad might be a better option, who also seem to release award seats quite generously. Problem us you can't buy Velocity points. Another alternative is Alaska miles which you can book CX or KE to USA as one award if QF is unavailable. 

However, if your destination is Europe, then AA has a lot more options, which IMHO is where the value of AA is.
