Hawaii will be one of the last routes to get the new config. They were the last to swap from 767 to A330 due to a large percentage of leisure travellers.

Sadly, it is mostly leisure travellers on the route, that is why they kept the 767 on it for so long! Would be a real nice decison if they were to, but no one uses the route. Not much comptition in business either because Hawiian only as angled Business class seats!

Qantas have guided to the end of 2016 as a completion date for the A330 reconfig program so you would expect it to be at least another year before the SYD-HNL flights get the new business suite

Since QF started the refurb, not one refurb aircraft to Hawaii. Highest likelihood destinations are Narita Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, with a few visits to Manilla and Bangkok
