Flying an Iberia codeshare flight (operated by Vueling) our of BCN, with an "IB" flight number. Should I assume I'll get stooged on lounge entry at BCN, despite Oneworld Emerald status?

Hi ausJCP
I have checked the Iberia site where lounge access is explained.
It states:
"In the case of flights marketed by Iberia and operated by non-oneworld companies, the VIP lounge service will be available at airports where the Iberia Group operates"
If your Vueling operated flight has been booked under the IB code then you're on an Iberia marketed flight and would therefore get access to the lounge in Barcelona based on the above.
Have a good trip!

Hi Alex,
Fantastic, I was hoping that would be the case...
I read that page as well, and hoping that is indeed the case... but they certainly don't make it sound encouraging or straightforward!
(Iberia Plus Gold or Platinum)
(Business Class or Business Class Plus)
(Sapphire or Emerald)
Boarding pass valid for the day on a oneworld(***) flight
(***) A flight is considered a "oneworld flight" when the operator and marketing company are members of the alliance. Flights operated by Vueling are not considered oneworld flights as this company is not a member of the alliance.
I don't like the sound of that last section haha. I'll have a crack at it and see :-)
Thanks for your reply!
