Hi All,

I'm flying PER-HKG-KHH (Taipei) with CX in Y and I'm QF Platinum (Oneworld Emerald). I have 2 questions;

1 - Best Lounge to use in HKG mid transit ?

2 - Is there more than one lounge in KHH ? If so, best one ?

Cheers in advance,

Stu

As an Emerald - either CX Wing First or CX Pier First - both recently renovated and both very good. And a bunch of other options including QF and the rest of CX lounges

Had to look up KHH. It's in Taiwan, but not Taipei. Only one world airlines are DragonAir (KA)(but owned by CX) which uses it's own lounge and JAL (which uses China Air). Interesting that it is KA to to KHH yet CX to TPE

Sorry should have said that as JAL kind is third party, you will only get access to the KA lounge

Having spent a bit of time in HKG last month, I would say hands down the new CX Pier First is worth the walk and the best lounge I have had the privilege of experiencing.

I also departed on CX from TPE on the same trip, last month the CX lounge was closed being refurbished (and I think it remains closed until December 2015) so we were directed to the China Airlines Dynasty Lounge.  Whilst they have a separate First lounge inside the main lounge, however they wouldn't acknowledge Emerald status so we experienced the Business Lounge.  Not the worst lounge by any stretch but dark (zero natural light) and basic food and beverage that you would expect from an international business lounge.  With the CX lounge closed there are no other Oneworld owned lounges, so I think it's your only option.

Cx The Pier First Lounge is strongly recommended for long transfer time, take sometime in QF HK lounge if you can, it's elegant and massive
