Best tool is Education Perfect, I am not sure if you have to pay but my school pays the fees for me. They have most languages on there. Search up a youtube video on Education Perfect and it should show you how it works.

A better tool is an Iphone/Ipad application called 'Duolingo' it is free tool to help you learn multiple languages in minutes. My French has improved out of sight over the past couple of weeks. Remember with languages repitition is crucial.

Thanks! I have begun using Duolingo a few weeks ago after originally signing up two years ago. It seems like a much easier tool these days!

Though I still find it hard to memorise the different genders of words (as is the case with Spanish and German), so I was hoping to find something to supplement Duolingo.

There are actually a lot of free language-learning podcasts, I've used quite a few of these and find them useful and enjoyable. As a rule I try to learn just a few basic words & phrases in the local tongue of any country I'm visiting.

Get mistress in your country of interest that does not speak English at all.

True, that could certainly help, but so could one-on-one practise of the particular language with a native speaker.

With mistress you will have better incentive :-))))

Not only the language helps in a foreign country but it helps with random moments such as helping a tourist. Learning a language isn't easy though as you need to revise to remember.
