Ethihad Jet Airways Configured Aircraft

Morning. I am looking at flights from Johannesburg to Brisbane for November/December this year, it looks like QF 63/64 will go from a daily service to a 4 x weekly service - being Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday fro 4 October.. I am looking at flights for family and they may have to travel on Fridays, so my only options are via Perth on SAA or via AUH on Etihad. However, when looking at the Etihad flight a message comes up saying "Flight 603 is operated by Etihad on JET Airways configured aircraft. has anyone ever flown on a Etihad operated JET airways aircraft? I'm assuming it's a Jet Airways A330, but with Etihad service/crew as Etihad owns 25% of the airline? If anyone has flown it or knows anyone who has, what do you advise? Avoid like the plague and go via Perth on SAA and then with VA from Perth to BNE? They will be flying in Economy. thanks for your help.

Basically what this means is, Etihad have leased aircraft from Jet Airways after taking a 25% stake in them. So this means you will be travelling in a Jet airways interior. So if you are going J (Business) search up "Business, Jet Airways Etihad Configured Aircraft" and that is the product you will be travelling on.

I'm not too sure if you will be travelling on the Etihad livery, but you will get the full Etihad service e.g. Lounge access (Where Available) Etihad flight attendants, Etihad Pilots etc.

The Jet Airways Configuration doesn't look that bad especially on the A330 and 777.

Which class are you travelling in?

If economy it won't make any difference, but if J or F it may make some difference but not much.

Qantas would be the best option but seeing it is harder for you to fly them as service is not available on Fridays, go Etihad the connection times are sure to be quite quick

Wouldn't EK via Dubai also be an option for you from BNE? A380 to Dubai and most likely B777 onwards.

Perth is a more direct route though
