Its amazing looking at old photos of SYD airport and seeing the likes of Lufthansa etc. What are the airlines that used to fly to Sydney and have now discontinued their services?

A few more... UTA/Air France, EVA Air, Royal Brunei, SriLankan (Airlanka), Air Mauritius, South African, MEA, Gulf Air, EgyptAir, Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Tahiti Nui, Nauru, ... and these are just the ones still in existance!
Interestingly, in recent years quite a few airlines have recommenced services to SYD after lengthy absences: Hawaiian, Air India, American, All Nippon, Solomons.

Where did this photo come from Tom? It's a great shot, so depending on the photographer or source, a credit may be necessary.
