Oh yes, Golden Wing, it's all coming back. A bit like Flight Deck over at TAA/Australian .I remember Life Time memberships for under 4 figures.

Compass MD - 80  Only passenger in business class on day of Melbourne Cup. Great service, though was given a cassette on business insights (I think) which I never did play!

Airlink S-61N. Heathrow to Gatwick return for 25 pounds. Was good to count number of swimming pools between the two.

British Eagle Britannias. First long haul flights from London to Far East. Approx four stops. Enjoyed flight, but drove parents mad!

Ansett Boeing 747-300 first class. Loved the chef lifting the silver domed lid on main meal.

I remember my first Jet flight on Ansett VH CZE a DC-9 from new Tullamarine to Coolangatta as it was then, my mother buzzed the hostess and asked could her two sons go up and see the Captain in the flight deck, That was easily arranged, I was about 13 and my brother 8, the non security curtain to the flight deck was whisked  back, and we were given a birds eye view and a lovely Pilot and Co Pilot entertained us for about 5 minutes. They told us exactly where we were, and pointed out a few features. My younger brother is a Captain himself with Jestar on a A320, that Ansett Junior Flyer trip to Queensland started the ball rolling for him. I was more content being a passenger.

I can remember an annoucement made at Ansett Tullamarine once, saying that due to mechanical issues a substitute aircraft was due to arrive any moment, the looks of horror over faces in the waiting room as to exactly what this substitute aircraft was going to be.

Australian Airways.... Fairly sure it was a B737. Visits to the cockpit a regular occurrence
