I booked flight on Austrian Airlines and website doesn't accept my Avianca Amigo FF number (Star Gold by status match). I called AUA contact centre and they couldn't make it work either. Does anybody else had a similar problem and if yes, what is the way to get it to booking?

If you did the same status match promotion I did last year, it was was Avianca Brasil, not Avianca.  As mentioned in the FlyerTalk link, Avianca Brazil is a separate and distinct airline.

If this is the case, try your luck again with Austrian, specifying Avianca Brazil!

You need to ring Austrian and make sure they put the correct airline code on the booking which is located on your gold card. It worked perfectly last year for me when flying Austrian.
