I am flying from the Gold Coast to Melbourne in Business class, then mel to adl in economy, can i still use the lounge in Melbourne?

I'm pretty sure you can with VA, not so sure about QF.

As far as I know, Virgin only allows this for Gold+Platinum members, not business class guests, Qantas dont offer it unless you're platinum. 

You can certainly ask and try though.

Agree with Jack. Unless you have Gold or Platinum status then you will have no lounge access in Melbourne

Further more, if it is Virgin Australia that you're flying, you can always pay for an entry pass, its around $50 I believe, if you think thats worth it.
