I am travelling from Brisbane to Montreal return in a couple of weeks and was wondering what is the best FF programme to join. I am in Velocity but understand the Virgin/AC tie-in for points and SCs will not start until later this year. I may be taking this route on AC again in 2017.

I'd perhaps suggest Singapore Airlines (SQ) as a good option given you can transfer points from SQ to VA for wider use. Although I've hear UA is better regarding fewer points required for a redemption and if you're headed stateside mostly, it could be the horse to bet on.

So basically I'd suggest UA or SQ. Unless your goal was status rather then hoarding points. :)

Or credit your miles to Asia Miles (AC now tie-up with CX but no MPC Club Points can be earned)
