Hi team?

I am flying business class MEL-LAX in a couple of months on Virgin Australia and was wondering what lounges they will be using in MEL & LAX. Does anyone have any information on that?

Thanks!

In Melbourne you can expect to use the very nice Etihad lounge, at LAX it will be the also very good Star Alliance business class lounge, unless you're Velocity Platinum in which case you can use the LAX Etihad lounge.

I think that VA has moved to using the Etihad lounge for all its Business passengers at LAX (see here: https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/at-the-airport/international-lounge-access/ ... its Gold Velocity members in Economy and Premium Economy that still use the Star Alliance Lounge).

The website doesn't indicate a Melbourne lounge for LA flights as yet (since those flight don't start until next month), though in Sydney their flights use the Etihad lounge, so perhaps thats an indication.

Until tomorrow, as AusBT has just reported today that Golds in economy and premium economy can't use the LAX Star Alliance lounge any more.
