I purchase a business class ticket on Expedia from Melbourne-Abu Dhabi-Amsterdam on "KLM (but operated by Etihad)" - it has a KLM code. Similarly, I have a return flight from Paris CDG - Abu Dhabi - Melbourne on "Air France (operated by Etihad)" with a Air France code.
Am I correct in assuming that this will be on Etihad metal? And would I be able to use the Etihad Lounge?
I've travelled on MH metal but KLM code previously and in KL I was unable to access the business class MH lounge, instead being directed to a far inferior lounge - maybe it was a SkyTeam general lounge, I can't quite remember. Not sure of the specifics in AUH but i'd definitely check your rights before you travel.
I purchased the same codeshare flights though from SYD- AMS operated by etihad between SYD-AUH then KLM from AUH-AMS. I was able to access the etihad lounge at syd then a partner lounge at Abu Dhabi. On the return we departed from CDG also and accessed the Air France lounge in Paris then the EY lounge at Abu Dhabi. Hope this helps also etihad metal to and from Sydney where KLM and AF don't service
