Qantas will soon be flying to Denpasar on the 737 Winglets, does any one know  if the will be on the old unrenovated planes  or the up dated planes?

Qantas has been flying this route on a seasonal basis for about 18months. The change that is coming is that the flight will change from seasonal, to year round. Use Flightradar24 and flight QF43 to get the rego of the planes being used. You can then use The Qantas Source to find out what you need about each rego.

My understanding though, is that Qantas prioritises their 737 international routes to have Seat back IFE. At worst though, you would get Q Streaming to your own device. I don;t think Qantas has any non-refreshed 737 left.

From the QF source, I believe this is the general rule of thumb, however, I will stand corrected if need be:

VH-VZL-VH-XZP will have seat back IFE
VH-VZX-VH-XZP has BSI along with the seat back IFE

I flew Sydney to Denpasar in late January returning early February and both flights were latest version of the 737 including the Mendoowoorrji Indigenous painted aircraft.

I have to say that the flight home was one of the worst business class flights I have ever experienced - terrible and belligerent service from the purser and inedible food out of Denpasar. I have flown business class on Solomon Airlines and Nauru's Our Airline and both of those flights but my QANTAS flight to shame.

I would absolutely recommend paying the extra $200 to get a flat bed and excellent service from Garuda!
