Hi All,

forgive me if this is a repeat post, or if it's not correct (sorry in advance, Chris et al),

My folks are coming to Melbourne for their first trip abroad, and for their 10th wedding anniversary - I've shouted them the trip.

Coming over isn't a problem - they don't know this yet but I'll be meeting them in Auckland and they'll be sneaking into the Koru Lounge with me to come back to MEL, however I can't afford them the same privilege when returning, because I need to.. well.. work.

Does anyone know of any lounge in MEL that you can pre-buy access to, so that I can make their trip home as comfortable as possible? AFAIK Air NZ don't let you buy single passes any more at international (and my mum's a scrooge so she wouldn't shell out anyway).

Any advice is appreciated, but for those for whom it may help, they're out of MEL on NZ722 20/Feb

Thanks in advance

Hi MRYJDrake,

Regrettably, there are no lounges at Melbourne airport that you can pay for your parents to access on those flights.

(You could previously pay for a single-entry pass at the AirNZ lounge for $45ish, but this is no longer the case.)

There is a nice Café Vue in the international departures hall after duty-free; perhaps you could arrange a gift certificate for them in advance?

All the best! :)
